Who We Are
Our Story at Collis Care
Collis Care was founded with a mission—to provide compassionate disability support services designed to meet individual needs and support independent living. As a locally owned and operated NDIS provider, we specialise in assisting those with neurological conditions like MND and MS, and are committed to fostering a sense of community, inclusion and well-being for those we support.
With decades of experience in the sector, our team recognises the value of flexible support. We focus on practical assistance, emotional support and holistic services, offering help that respects each person’s preferences and goals. From personal care and household support to transport and community participation, our services are designed to assist with daily living.
We believe that quality support goes beyond daily tasks—it’s about building trust, connections and confidence. Our team is dedicated to providing services that encourage choice and participation in meaningful activities.
Damian’s Fight With MND
Damian Andrews’ story is a powerful reminder of how quickly life can change. Like many Australians, he hadn’t given much thought to Motor Neurone Disease until the day he was diagnosed. From that moment, life shifted for Damian, his wife Jane and their three sons.
As a family, they chose to face that reality together, adopting a simple but strong mindset: “We Got This.” It wasn’t long before they began sharing their journey more openly. What began as a way to keep family and friends updated grew into a widely followed Facebook page, Damian’s Journey and Fight with MND, sharing the real experience of living with the condition.
Over time, that openness has helped others going through similar challenges. Their story has reached thousands of people and created a sense of connection for families navigating their own diagnoses.
Damian’s experience reflects how quickly circumstances can change, and how important support, community and connection become in those moments.
